VALLEY - Mr. Arthur L. Billingslea, 67, of Valley died Monday, Nov. 17, 2008 at Bethany House in Auburn.
A memorial service is planned for Friday, Nov. 21 at 1 p.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses with Brother Marion Tabor officiating.
Mr. Billingslea is survived by his loving and dedicated wife, Margie Huguley Billingslea of Valley; six sons, Zerman Billingslea of Norcross, Ga., Michael Billingslea of San Francisco, Calif., Rodney (Michelle) Billingslea of Rex, Ga., Carlos (Demetrius) Billingslea of LaGrange, Ezekiel (Carrie) Billingslea of West Point and Jason Billingslea of Auburn; 12 grandchildren; five sisters, Anita (Walter) Barton of Hampton, Va., Linda Palmer of West Point, Kathy M. Billingslea of Norcross and Van and Vicki Billingslea of West Point; two brothers, George (Gloria) Billingslea of West Seneca, N.Y., and Jeffery P. Billingslea of West Point; his mother-inlaw, Ida V. Huguley of West Point; two sisters-in-law, Mattie F. Godwin and Virginia H. Barnes, both of West Point; three brothers-in-law, Willie F. (Barbara) Huguley of Marrero, La., Eddie (Barbara) Huguley of Opelika and Burlon Huguley of West Point; special family friends, Anna Billingslea, Cheryl Stokes and Julie Rogers; and a host!
of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Born July 30, 1941 in Harris County, Mr. Billingslea was the son of the late George and Ida Pearl (Scroggins) Billingslea. He attended Harrison High School in West Point. His hobbies were fishing, gardening and watching basketball and football games. Mr. Billingslea was preceded in death by a sister, Gladys Billingslea-Smith. He was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses.
