Message: Elizabeth Jane "Betty" Scroggin A 40 year resident of the South Bay and Palos Verdes Estates, passed away on Friday, October 24, 2008 in Torrance. Born in Little Rock, Arkansas, Betty was 76 when she died. Betty was a graduate of the University of Arkansas. She was a member of St. Francis Episcopal Church in Palos Verdes Estates, Pi Beta Phi, Chapter TG of PEO, Peninsula Committee of the LA Philharmonic, the National Charity League, and the Special Children's League. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Carroll D. Scroggin of Palos Verdes Estates, CA; son, Joseph Henry Scroggin, II of Kona, HI; son, Dr. Carroll D. (Ruth) Scroggin, Jr. of Jonesboro, AR; brother, Robert H. Biggadike of West Covina, CA; and sister, JoAnn (Tommy) Drew of Little Rock, AR. She was preceded in death by her parents, Josephine and Roy Biggadike; and her son, Roy Scroggin. Private Graveside Services were held at Green Hills Memorial Park in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Malaga Cove Library in Palos Verdes Estates or the Scholarship Fund of Chapter TG of PEO, 23930 Ocean Ave., #174, Torrance, CA 90505.
