Mr. Astor had no middle name. His father John Jacob Astor VI became just John Astor later in life after Brooke Astor married into the family and took all the money out off the family.

The reason Brook got the 200mil Astor fortune was because William hadn't been born yet. His mother was pregnant with him when making the transatlantic crossing aboard the Titanic. So Vincent got the bulk of the fortune and Madeleine got the income from a 5mil trust fund.
