Sarah Anderson, 62, of Lubbock went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, May 5th, 2008, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock. Celebration of life will be 1 p.m. Friday, May 9th, at Resthaven Funeral Home. Burial will follow with Rev. Jim Brown officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, 5:30-7 p.m.


Sarah was born April 19, 1946 in Abilene, to Stella and L.M. Scroggins. She lived most of her life in Lubbock and was a 1964 graduate of Monterey High School. She attended South Plains College, Texas Tech. She graduated from the Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in 1984 and West Texas A&M in 1991, where she earned her BSN. Her nursing career began at Methodist on the Cardiac Care Unit. She became a Nurse Specialist on the Nutritional Support Team in June 1987. In 1990, Sarah moved to Nurse Specialist of Policy and Procedure where she continued up until her re-cent illness. Sarah's love for patient care and life will live forever in the halls of Covenant Health System. She was highly respected and loved by her coworkers. Sarah's great-est pleasures were being a loving wife of 44 years, a dedicated mother and grandmother to her three granddaughters, who will truly miss their "Mya," and her beloved pets. Her loving and tender spirit also extended to caring for stray an!
imals. She volunteered her time and support to the Haven.


Sarah is survived by her husband, Joe; daughter and son-in-law, Stacey and Darius Linder of Houston; son and daughter-in-law, Joel and Heather Anderson of San Antonio; granddaughters, Peyton Maddison and Arrington Anderson Linder and Stella Victoria Kit-ten Anderson; nieces and great nieces; sister, Dolores Cobb of Tyler; brother and sister-in-law, Milton and Sharon Anderson of Shreveport, La.; and brother-in-law, Tom Tipton of Reno, Nev. She was preceded in death by her parents. We will miss you, wife, mommy, and Mya. In lieu of flowers, memorials maybe made to the Haven Animal Care Shelter 4501 N CR 1729, Lubbock TX, 79403.
