Joseph J. Leonard, Jr. 1202 W. Copeland, Marion was charged with aggravated criminal sexual abuse, sexual exploitation of a child and unlawful delivery of a controlled substance. The 1st charge was dismissed. He was found guilty to charges 2 and 3 and was sentenced to 48 months probation and 24 months probation to run concurrent with each other. He was ordered to pay a $200 fine plus costs and surcharges. Plus a $200 sex assessment fine. He was ordered to serve 128 consecutive days in the Williamson County Jail. To be released Dec. 25th. He was ordered to obtain a sex evaluation, a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow recommended treatment. He is to have no contact with victim. And he is not to go online to child sites such as MySpace.

LAWSUITS
Dec. 13
Bobby L. Stewart has filed a complaint against Fox's Cleaners and Uniforms, LLC in Marion for failure to maintain the premises causing the plaintiff to fall and injure self as he exited the building. Plaintiff is asking an amount not to exceed $50,000 plus costs.
Dec. 14
Barry Vaughn and Terry Vaughn have filed a complaint against Laura A. Chamness on two counts. Count 1 states that Berry Vaughn was the operator of a motor vehicle which was traveling in an easterly direction on West DeYoung St. west of Interstate 57 in Williamson County when the defendant failed to keep a proper lookout and yield the right of way of her vehicle to avoid a collision. As a result of the collision the plaintiff Barry was injured. Barry Vaughn is asking an amount not in excess of $50,000 and costs of suit. Count 2 states the above and claims that Terry Vaughn was a passenger in Barry Vaughn's vehicle and was also injured. He is asking for an amount int in excess of $50,000 and costs of suit.
Dec. 19
Alene Butler has filed a complaint against Southern Illinois Hospital Services, d/b/a Herrin Hospital for failure to provide a safe place for pedestrians to walk and she fell on an extension cord on the floor which was not visible to plaintiff. Plaintiff is asking for judgment in an amount in excess of $50,000.
