Hattiesburg


*Sexual battery suspect Ben Lee Scroggins of Hattiesburg sought Saturday after reportedly attacking a 3-year-old female victim


*Green 2000 Chevrolet Lumina reported broken into Saturday at 2782 Oak Grove Road; suspect fled in a nearby, late-model maroon Chevrolet S-10 after the Lumina's owner confronted him


*Lynne E. Haynes Jr., 21, 300 block Sam Rayburn Drive, Hattiesburg; jailed Saturday on three armed robbery charges


*Calvin M. Smith, 23, 900 block Dabbs Street, Hattiesburg; jailed Saturday on three armed robbery charges


*Cordieous Portier, 20, 200 block May Avenue, Hattiesburg; jailed Saturday on three armed robbery charges


*Ricky Davis, 43, 80 block Wyatt Ellis Road, Hattiesburg; jailed Saturday on receiving stolen property charge


*Steven D. Taylor, 31, 100 block Country Club Road, Hattiesburg; jailed Saturday on probation violation charge

*Deon T. Magee, 20, 400 block Genevia Street, Hattiesburg; jailed Saturday on grand larceny of an automobile charge

*3:10 p.m. Saturday, Hardy Street; responded to shrubs on fire near curb
