Mildred L. Ericson, 84, of Duluth, Minn., died Friday October 3, 2003 in St. Luke's Hospice.


She was born August 11, 1919 in Virginia, Minn. to Archie ''Ed'' and Lydia Mott. She attended schools in Virginia, and received her high school diploma at age 69 in Duluth and she was very proud of this achievement. She worked for many years at the former Flame Restaurant in Duluth and also worked as part of the Senior Aid Program. She was a member for many years at the former Ebenezer Baptist Church in Duluth and most recently a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed crocheting and Mildred gave many of these items as gifts.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley W. Ericson; parents; brother, Thomas; sisters, Margaret, Myrtle, and Marion.


She is survived by her daughters, Carol (Steve) Scroggins of Coeur D'Alene, Idaho, Pennie (John) Murray of Zim, Minn., Pat Keogan of Duluth; sister, Ruth Willman of Duluth; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.


VISITATION: 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Service Monday in Williams-Lobermeier-Andrews Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Pastor Larry Willman officiating. Interment at Oneota Cemetery.
