36, of 1920 W. Second St., Davenport, died Friday, Oct. 17, 2003, in Genesis Medical Center, Davenport, following a long battle with cancer. Services - 10 a.m. Monday, Turner West Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids, where friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday. Burial - Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Rick Bennett; her children, Justin A. Bennett of Davenport and Caitlyn Tindall of Cedar Rapids; her mother, Kathleen Sewell of Cedar Rapids; a brother, John Scroggins and wife Celly of Cedar Rapids; a niece, Justice Scroggins of Cedar Rapids; and her grandmother, Arlene Sparks of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Scroggins.
Julie was born Oct. 17, 1967, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Robert Scroggins and Kathleen Sewell Scroggins. She married Rick Bennett on May 13, 2000, in Davenport. Julie was working for the Big 10 Mart in Davenport. She enjoyed music, reading People magazine, watching Dr. Phil and being with her family. She was a member of Gilda's Club.
A memorial fund has been established by the family.
