THORNE, Henry (Junior), Jr., 77, a resident of Smuteye died on Wednesday, June 20, 2007. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 22, 2007 at 10:00am from Gray Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in Union Springs Perpetual Care Cemetery with Gray Funeral Home directing. Mr. Thorne was born on March 24, 1930 to Addie Green Thorne and Henry Thorne, Sr. He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years Ruth Anita Creswell Thorne. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Cathy and David Scroggins of Smuteye; two grandchildren Dave and Emily Scroggins and Ruth and David Givens; three great-grandchildren Emery Claire Scroggins, Ella Scroggins, William Givens; several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Rob Cameron, Seale Cameron, Randy Dunn, Bubber Ledbetter, Wiley McWhorter, Mike Thorne, Jamie Williams, John Williams. The family will receive friends at Gray Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00pm on Thursday, June 21, 2007.
