"I am home in Heaven, dear ones; Oh, so happy and so bright! There is perfect joy and beauty in this everlasting light. All the pain and suffering is over, every restless tossing passed; I am now at peace forever, safely home in Heaven at last." A homemaker who cherished her family and her beloved flowers, she died on Friday, May 11, 2007, at Promise Hospital in Gonzales. Born on Aug. 14, 1921, she was 85, a native of Rosa and a resident of Donaldsonville for the past 59 years. She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Frankie and Lyle Schexnaydre, Bobbie Blanchard, Debbie and Craig Schexnaydre, Vickie and Brian "Boozie" Andermann and Cathy Gautreaux; a brother, Pete Antie, Melville; 15 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Claude Vincent Foster; her parents, Edmond and Francina Scroggin Antie; a daughter, Doris Foster Gaspard Gilbert; grandchildren, Tab !
Schexnaydre and Dana Andermann; great-grandchild, Beau Porto; brothers, George, Whitney and J.E. Antie; and sister, Theresa Antie Mitchem. Visiting at Ourso Funeral Home, 134 Houmas St., Donaldsonville, on Sunday, May 13, was from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting resumes at the funeral home on Monday, May 14, from 10 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church, Donaldsonville, on Monday at 1 p.m. Entombment in Ascension Catholic Mausoleum. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Troy, Clint and Lance Schexnaydre, Brett Blanchard, Blake Andermann and Trey and Chad Gaspard. Extra special thanks and appreciation to her caregivers, Dr. Carey P. Aguillard and the staff of Promise Hospital of Ascension and St. Elizabeth Hospital of Gonzales.
