MONTGOMERY - Clayton L. Scroggins was a natural leader who owned his own business and served his country during World War II. He was also a man who always put his family first. Mr. Scroggins and his wife, Jeanne, attended hundreds of sporting events for his children, 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, said his daughter Jane Trenz, of Mount Lookout. "They left a lot of wonderful memories and blessings from being a part of it," she said. Mr. Scroggins died April 28 of cancer at Christ Hospital in Mount Auburn.
