ANNISTON - Memorial Services for Mrs. Willie Mae Scroggin, 86, of Anniston will be 2 p.m. Saturday, May 5, 2007 at St. Mark's United Methodist Church with The Rev. Sonny Champion officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at the church. Mrs. Scroggin passed away Wednesday at Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include: one daughter, Judith Updike and her husband Fred, of Pensacola, Fla.; one son, Max Scroggin and his wife, Theresa, of Gulf Breeze, Fla.; three grandchildren, Garrett Scroggin, Samantha Meyer and her husband, Jeffrey, and Ian Scroggin; one great-granddaughter, Ainsley Meyer; two sisters, Jeanette Bennett, of Van Alstyne, Texas and Thelma Brannon, of Birmingham; and one brother, Evans Amberson, Jr., of Piedmont.
Mrs. Scroggin was a native of Piedmont and a resident of Anniston. She retired from Alabama Power Company after 30 years of service and was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Golden Springs.
Mrs. Scroggin was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Holbrook, of Sherman, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mark's United Methodist Church.
