RENAE FERN (KLIEBE) SCROGGINS, 71 ROCKFORD - Renae Fern (Kliebe) Scroggins, 71, died Oct. 2, 2006, in Rockford, peacefully and with her family by her side after suffering a sudden stroke. Renae was born Nov. 23, 1934, in Rockford, the seventh of eight children; sister to Ila (d), Jane (Rowley), June (Hayes) (d), Virgil "Pete" (d), Wayne (d), Bob and Kenneth (d). She married Fred Scroggins [43921:K], March 11, 1952, and had four daughters, Denise (DeMarb) [44307:K], Melinda (Lee) [44308:K], Machelle (Kiolbassa) [44310:K] and Anne (Lambert) [43919:K]. Renae worked hard her entire life, most recently at Concord Custom Cleaners where she enjoyed her relationship with her co-workers and her customers. She liked sweet treats, fun clothes, flower gardens, screened-in porches and catching up with her friends. Most of all, she was the devoted pivot point for her closest ones. She loved her family, including her grandchildren, Rebecca, Amy (d), Heather, Megan, Jimmy, Ethan and Emma; great-grandchildren, Chapin, Brennan, Tristan and Harmony, "a bushel and a peck." She will be missed more ways than can be written. A gathering in honor of her life will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 8, at the home of Tim Baltes and Bob Myers, 4328 Tallwood, Rockford.
