WEOGUFKA - Funeral service for Virgie Mae Green Scroggins, 80, will be Friday, Sept. 15, at 2 p.m. at Unity Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Charles Sims and Mr. Bobby Littleton officiating. Interment will be in Unity Presbyterian Cemetery. Mrs. Scroggins died Tuesday, Sept. 12, at her residence. She was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years and the father of her five children, Jack Grange Green; and her brothers, Author Williams and Arcie Williams. She was a member of Unity Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, James Louis Scroggins [44238] of Weogufka; sons, James Huey Green of New Mexico, Larry Wayne Green of Weogufka, and Bobby Ray Green of Mississippi; daughters, Patricia Ann Green Gaither and Janice Faye Green Parker both of Weogufka; 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday, Sept. 14, from 5-8 p.m. The body will remain at the funeral home for visitation from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Friday. Memorial messages may be sent to the family at www.radneysmith.com. The family will accept flowers or contributions to Presbyterian Women of the Church Fund, Rt. 1 Box 29 B1, Weogufka, AL 35183.
Pallbearers will be Derek Green, Kevin Parker, David Webber, Aaron Green, Jay Smith, and Steve Pruitt. Honorary pallbearer will be Pete Abrams. Radney-Smith Funeral Home will direct the service.Daily Home - Area Deaths
