EVA CATHERINE MCCURRY of Lincoln
Eva Catherine McCurry, 91, of Lincoln, died at 12:17 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, 1989, in Lincoln Land Nursing Home in Lincoln.
Funeral services were 1:30 p.m., Friday, March 3, in Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Mt. Pulaski, with Donald Hatfield officiating. John Buckles served as organist and duets were rendered by Dale and Rosemary Fuiten. Burial was in Mt. Pulaski Cemetery. Pallbearers were Darrell Neal, Quentin Sparks, Fred Werth, Jack Hamilton, John Woodrum, and nephew, Albert Hood.
Visitation was from 12:00 noon until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. McCurry was born Oct. 7, 1897 in the Mt. Pulaski area, a daughter of Sanford "Sant" and Elizabeth Wyland Scroggin. She married Thomas McCurry on June 23, 1918 in Lincoln. He preceded her in death on December 3, 1970.
Survivors include three sons, Thomas "Jack" of Elkhart; Carl, of Williamsville; and George, of Lincoln; one daughter, Annis E. Morris, of Arizona; one brother, Clell Scroggin, Kentucky; two sisters, Alberta Burkhardt, of Missouri, and Violet Bond, of Texas; eleven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, two brothers, and one sister.
