Mrs. Wyland Funeral Rites to Be Sunday

Mrs. Annabelle Wyland, 93, of rural Williamsville, died at 12:55 a.m.
Friday in Rutledge Manor Nursing Home at Springfield. The body is at Schahl
Funeral Home in Mt. Pulaski and visitation will be there from 7 to 9 p.m.,
Saturday. Services will be 2 p.m., Sunday from the funeral home with the
Rev. Kenneth Idleman officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pulaski cemetery.
The deceased was born June 25, 1873, in Lake Fork, the daughter of Thomas
and Jane Scroggin. She was married to William S. Wyland in Lincoln Feb.
28, 1895 and he died April 5, 1967.
She leaves the following children, Mrs. Stella Adams of Onawa, Iowa; Mrs.
Arvilla Kaehlar, Kansas City, Mo.; Virgil of Onawa; Mrs. Hazel Baker,
Pekin; Floyd of San Pueblo, Calif., and Melvin, Onawa,; Mrs. Lorene
Patterson, Williamsville; Elmo of Beason; Thomas of Williamsville; Adair of
Lincoln;
Philip of Lincoln; and Mrs. Annie Walker of Oreana, Ill.; 41 grandchildren;
89 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

ANNABELLE WYLAND, FORMER LAKE FORK RESIDENT, DIED

Mrs. Annabelle Wyland of Williamsville, Illinois, passed away at 12:55 a.m.
Friday, December 12, 1969, at the Rutledge Manor, Springfield, Illinois,
where she had been a patient for the past three months.
She was born at Lake Fork, Illinois, June 25, 1876, the daughter of Thomas
Jefferson and Jane Scroggin. She was married to William Wyland in Lincoln,
Ill., February 28, 1895, and he passed away April 5, 1967.
She is survived by the following children: Virgil, Onawa, Iowa; Floyd, San
Pablo, Calif.; Melvin, Onawa, Iowa; Elmo, Beason, Ill.; Thomas,
Williamsville, Ill.; and Adair and William, both of Lincoln, Ill.;
daughters, Mrs. Stella Adams, Onawa, Iowa; Mrs. Arvilla Koehler, Kansas
City, Mo.; Mrs. Hazel Baker, Pekin, Ill.; and Mrs. Anna Camilla Walker of
Oreana, Ill. One daughter preceded her in death. There are 41
grandchildren, 89 great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, December 14, 1969 at 2:00 p.m. at the
Schahl Funeral Home with the Rev. Ken Idleman officiating.
Mrs. Dale Fuiten, soloist, sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "When They Ring
Those Golden Bells", accompanied by Miss Karen Buckles at the organ.
Grandsons served as pallbearers. Interment was in the Mt. Pulaski Cemetery.
