Message: Petrina R. (Toia) Scroggin Petrina R. (Toia) Scroggin, 67, Gladstone, MO, passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2006 at Liberty Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be 8 a.m. Saturday, January 28 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 2552 Gillham Rd, Kansas City, MO 64108; entombment in Resurrection Mausoleum, Kansas City North. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124, where the rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Petrina was born December 18, 1938 in Kansas City, MO. She was a member of the Latin Community of Our Lady of Sorrows Parish. A devout Catholic, she was a lay member of Regnum Christi, the Legion of Mary at St. Andrew Parish, and was chairperson of the Blue Army of Our Lady of Fatima. Petrina was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Frances (Terre) Toia; and sister, Catherine Ferrante. Survivors include her sons, Steven M. Scroggin, Rev. Christopher M. Scroggin, LC; daughter, Regina M. Scroggin; sisters and brother-in-law, Frances and George Ridenour, Joey Tarantino; and many nieces and nephews. (Arr; Passantino Brothers Funeral Home, 816471-2844).
