Jesse Perez Quijada Dec. 23, 1944 Jan. 17, 2006 Visitation for Jesse
Perez Quijada will be held at Basham Funeral Care (3312 Niles Street)
on Monday, January 23, 2006 from 5:00-9:00 p.m. and the Rosary will be
recited in the Basham Funeral Care Chapel at 7:00 p.m. Mass of the
Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church
on Tuesday morning, January 24, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will
follow at Union Cemetery. Jesse was born December 23, 1944 in Yuma,
Arizona and he passed away on January 17, 2006 in Bakersfield,
California. He is preceded in death by his wife, Maria Quijada and his
parents, Ramon and Maria Quijada. He is survived by his daughter,
Yvonne Quijada; daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Rick Chavez;
daughter, Julie Perez; daughter, Cynthia Quijada; son, Tony Quijada;
brother, Edward Quijada; sister and brother-in-law; Angela and Ray
Quiroz; sisters, Mary Louise Yslas and Julie Scroggins; brother,
Raymond Quijada; 16 grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews
and other family members. Jesse was a loving and kindhearted man who
enjoyed fishing, camping, dancing and spending time with his family and
friends. After a good days work, he would like to relax with a cold
one. He always thought of his family that he cared for very much. He
will be remembered as a good father that was always there. He was loved
by all that knew him and he will be deeply missed. For additional
