Elvin E. Scroggins, 74, of Oklahoma City, died Saturday, January 14,
2006. Elvin was born Nov. 8, 1931 in Foyil, OK one of ten children of
Fred and Lela Scroggins. He retired from the United States Air Force
and loved softball, hunting deer and elk and he enjoyed deep sea
fishing, but most of all he loved the Lord and was a member of the
First Baptist Church of Del City. Elvin is survived by four children,
Jim Philipini of Nevada, Milinda Scroggins of Norman, Leslie Elvin
Scroggins of Norman and Tina Figueroa of Purcell; 12 grandchildren,
Jeremiah, Billie Jo, Robert, Cruz, Pilo, Jonathan, Matthew, Jeremiah,
Maryann, Leona, Danielle and Jim; a sister, Kathleen; a brother, Larry;
a loving friend and companion, Penny Nagel Scroggins. Funeral services
will be conducted by Ford Funeral Service at 10am Wednesday at the
First Baptist Church of Del City with Pastor Buddy Townsend
officiating. Burial will be at 1pm Thursday at the Lone Chapel Cemetery
near Adair, OK with full military honors.
