Deceased Name: Mary Elizabeth Williams Pruitt
A celebration of the life of Mary Elizabeth Williams Pruitt, 86, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2005, at Tabernacle Baptist Church with Pastor E.L. Bynum officiating. Interment will be at the City of Lubbock Cemetery.

Mary was born in Paris, Texas July 31, 1919 to William P. and Nellie Jane Scroggins Williams. She attended Oklahoma College for Women. Mary married William 'Bill' Pruitt in Lawton, Okla. Dec. 8, 1938. They moved to Lubbock in 1943, where they were members of Tabernacle Baptist Church for many years. Mrs. Pruitt worked for S.H. Kress and later for Hemphill-Wells. Mary was a volunteer at University Medical Center for nine years. In 1992, Bill preceded her in death. She moved to Rowlett in 2002.

Mrs. Pruitt is survived by her children and their spouses, Hershell E. and Virginia Pruitt of Lincoln, Helen and Don Kamienski of Roelings, N.J., and Louine and Lynn Eisenbeck of Dallas; her brother, William P. Williams, Jr. of Chicago; six grandchildren, Dean Kamienski of Pittsgrove, N.J., Jennifer Kamienski of Ridgewood, N.J., Kimberley MacKinnon and husband David of Pasadena, Kyla Thibault and husband Steve of Norton, Vt., Paula Huber and husband Joe of The Woodlands, and Martha Alexander and husband Carl of Rockdale; and five great-grandchildren, Wes and Luke Thibault, Hallie Lange, Haydon Elizabeth Huber, and Cordy Alexander.
