Memorial services for Keven Dagit, 42, will be 11 a.m. Friday, September 30, 2005 at First United Methodist Church in Jefferson. Private interment will take place at a later date at Dawson Twp. Cemetery, near Paton, Iowa. Visitation with the family will be Thursday evening, between 5 and 7:30 p.m. at Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home in Jefferson.

Keven Kim Dagit, son of Lloyd [32290] and Gloria [32270] (Scroggins) Dagit, was born March 19, 1963 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Keven grew up in Jefferson, Iowa. He was in Scouts, and attended Jefferson High School.

Keven lived and worked in Rogers, Arkansas from 1981-1989. In 1990, he took basic training in the Navy. From 1990 to 1995, Keven worked for his family's moving business in Jefferson. He also drove a truck for TMC, a company in Des Moines, for seven years. On March 16, 1994, Keven was married to Donn Schultz. Two children, Kira and Kylie, were born to this union. Keven and Donn were divorced seven years ago.

Keven was a member of First Baptist Church in Jefferson. He helped build the new church building in 1989. Keven loved the outdoor, adventuresome life. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and four-wheeling. He was an avid boater and water skier. Most importantly, Keven loved spending time with his daughters and family.

Currently, Keven was employed with Kellogg, Brown & Root - Halliberton Company. Keven had been working for KBR for over a year in Iraq. He drove semi trailer trucks, delivering supplies such as concrete, gas or food. Keven desired adventure and travel. He was patriotic, and wanted to help others.

Keven Dagit lost his life on September 20, 2005 near Balad, Iraq, when enemy insurgents attacked his convoy. Keven was 42 years of age. Preceding Keven in death were his grandparents: Titus and Ethel Dagit, and Jessie [32263] and Mae [32264] Scroggins; a sister, Kecia; and a brother, Daniel.

Surviving are Keven's parents, Lloyd and Gloria Dagit of Jefferson, IA; two daughters, Kira and Kylie Dagit of Jewell, IA; two brothers. Randy Dagit and his wife Carolyn of Bentonville, AR, and Brian Dagit of Rogers, AR; a sister, Teresa Lentz and her husband Kevin of Jefferson, IA; and other relatives and friends.

Jo Ellen Younce, age 46, of Lincoln, passed away Thursday, September 29, 2005, at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia, the daughter of Clarence D. and Mary Magdalene Newman Scroggins.
Jo was raised and resided in Jay, Oklahoma for nearly 25 years, before moving to Lincoln in 1987. Jo dedicated her younger years to her three children, whom she was very proud of, later reaping the rewards as a loving grandmother.
Jo was united in marriage to Oscar Younce on December 1, 2000. They enjoyed many activities together such as fishing and entertaining the grandchildren. She also enjoyed cooking for those she loved.
She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother Dennis.
She is survived by her husband, Oscar, of the home, three children, Shannon Smith and her husband, Kevin, of Lincoln, Dustin Studie, of Ft. Louis, Washington and Jimmy Harrison, of Lincoln, three step-children Robin Harrison and his wife Millie, Sean Harrison, and Fawna Harrison, nine grandchildren, two sisters, Mary Cunningham and Lillian Hutchinson and her husband Frank, all of Jay, Oklahoma, other relatives and many friends.

Memorial Services for Jo Younce will be at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, October 1, 2005, at the Davis-Miller Funeral Home in Lincoln with Rev. Wayne Isgriggs, officiating. GRAHAM - Dorothy "Dot" Scroggins, 82, died Saturday, 24, 2005, in Fort Worth.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jan Fletcher, pastor of First United Methodist Church, Bryson, officiating. Burial will be in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Mrs. Scroggins was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, J.J. Scroggins of Bryson; son, David Lee Scroggins of Tucson, Ariz.; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

HOCKLEY, Texas ? David William Scroggins of Hockley, Texas, died Friday, Sept. 9, 2005, in Hockley. He was born Sept. 16, 1965, in London, England. He was a graduate of Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, and was vice president of Hewlett-Packard Co.

A memorial Mass was held Sept. 13 at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Tomball, Texas. A private interment will be held later this month under the direction of Klein Funeral Home in Klein, Texas.

He is survived by his wife, Tammy; three children, Sydney, Jake and Dylan Scroggins, all of the home; his parents, Billy and Mary Scroggins of Missouri City, Texas; and a brother, Paul Scroggins of Fort Smith.
