Death: Joe Ben Scroggins Sr.


Message: Joe Ben Scroggins Sr. Joe Ben Scroggins Sr. Joe Ben Scroggins
Sr., died peacefully June 5, 2005. Born in Mobile, Ala., he lived in Mis
sissippi and Louisiana for most of his life. Joe served in the U.S. Navy
during World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. His career in
the U.S. Navy began in 1944 and he retired in 1966. Joe was preceded in
death by the love of his life, and his son, Joe Ben Scroggins Jr. He is
survived by his sons, Johnny Ray, Jerry Lee, and Jamey Jay (Donna)
Scroggins; daughters, Jackie Gay (Jerry) Nemish and Joyce Ann (John)
Hogue; grand children, Johnny Jr., Brian, Stacie, Chrissy, Jackie, Betty,
Ja cob, Jerry, Sara, Stephanie, Ashley, James, Dora, and Matt; numerous
great-grandchildren; and brother, Charles Scroggins of England. Funeral
services Tuesday (TO DAY), 5 p.m., at United Evangelical Church, 226
Southeast Ave., Tallmadge 44278, with Pastor Hollinger officiating.
Friends may call one hour prior to service time at the church on Tuesday.
Inurnment at Biloxi National Cemetery in Mississippi. Memorial
