Leonard was the son of George [27801:P] and Pearl Polk [27867:P] Scroggins. He was foreman at Calhoun Packing Plant for 24 years. He was a member of the Elkhart Church of Christ. He was residing in Palestine at the time of his death in Tyler. His daughter, Regina Rae Scroggins [:P], is buried in Roselawn Park. He was survived by wife, Reba Elizabeth Crow Scroggins [:P] of Palestine; four sons, Randy Scroggins [:P] of Rayne, LA, Wayne Scroggins [43860:P] of Sugar Land, Terry Scroggins [:P] of Palestine , and Carey Dean [:P] Scroggins of Seagoville; sister, Leveta Tarpley [44438:P] of Oklahoma, OK; two brothers, Tommy Scroggins [51653:P] of Blossom and Cloyd "Moss" [52081:P] Scroggins of Reno, TX; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. His obituary was published in the Palestine Herald-Press, Friday, 25 March 2005 and Tyler Morning Telegraph, Friday, 25 March 2005.
