Mary Lee Scroggins, 89, passed away December 8, 2004. She was born August 26, 1915 to George Asbury [17854] and Bennie Lee (Moses) [17875] Scroggins in Solgohachia, AR. She graduated in 1933 from high school in Morrilton, AR. She married C.A. "Buck" Buchanan [42820] and they were married for 68 years. They shared a lifetime of service to their church and caring for the needs of others, as well as world travel. Mary and Buck were founding members of the Memorial Road Church of Christ. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, teaching children's Bible school and hosting large family gatherings. Mary was loved by all who knew her for her beautiful smile, steadfast devotion to her values and exceptional hospitality. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, George [42821]; two sisters, Muriel Thompson [42826] and Wilma Edna "Bill" Castleberry [42827]. She is survived by her husband, Buck and sons, Ancel and wife, Judy of Atlanta, GA; Ken and wife, Peggy of Oklahoma City, OK, Brent and wife, Helga of Atlanta, GA, Jim and wife, Marilyn of Edmond, OK, Ed and wife, Kathy of Broken Arrow, OK; 8 granddaughters, Liz and Bill Donnelly, Cyndi and Dennis Basinger, Toni and Ron Pisano, Sarah and Jerome Davis, Erica and Kip Stratton, April Buchanan, Holly Pierce, Mary Beth Buchanan; 6 grandsons, Brett Buchanan, K. Ray Buchanan and Jana, Eric Buchanan and Deana, Arden Buchanan and Shoshana, Jim Blue Buchanan and Christi and Bobby Buchanan; 19 great-grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; sister, Helen [42828] and husband, J. H. Allison of Morrilton, AR; nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. Memorial contributions may be made to Capitol Hill Church of Christ in care of the Memorial Road Church of Christ, 2221 E. Memorial Rd., Edmond, OK 73013. Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Monday, December 13, 2004 at Memorial Rd. Church of Christ. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
