River Parishes bureau
Weekly columns by high school students in St. Charles, St. James and St. John the Baptist parishes will begin Thursday and run through the school year in the River Parishes Picayune.

Brittani Scroggins of Gramercy is the daughter of Elizabeth Bourgeois and Daniel Scroggins.
Scroggins, a senior, is editor of the yearbook staff and a member of the Beta Club, Future Farmers of America, Foreign Language Club, Drama Club and the Cypress Stump newspaper staff. She is an honor roll student with three years perfect attendance.
She enjoys reading and writing.
Scroggins plans to attend college and hopes to become a writer.
