NATCHEZ - Services for Eleanor Scroggins "Tiny" Powell, 77, of Natchez, who died Sunday, July 13, 2003, in Birmingham, Ala., was at 10 a.m. July 16 at New Covenant Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dennis Flach officiated.



Burial was in the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.



Mrs. Powell was born Feb. 22, 1926, in Andalusia, Ala., the daughter of Sydney and Carrie Jones Scroggins.



She was a member of the New Covenant Presbyterian Church.



Mrs. Powell was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Dennis Powell; great-grandchild, Charles Dennis Powell Davis III; three brothers, Richard, Nathan and Joe; and a sister, Jean.



Survivors include daughter, Diane Davis of Birmingham, Ala.; three grandchildren, John Wallace II and his wife, April of Albertville, Ala., Tara Davis of Birmingham and Powell Davis and his wife, Lori of Birmingham; five great-grandchildren, Holly, Brandi, Ben, Noah and Jack; two sisters, Doris Bull Dothan of Alabama and Ethelyn Campbell of Andalusia, Ala. and a number of nieces and nephews.



Pallbearers were Powell Davis, John Davis, Danny Curran, Greg Bodiford, Eddie Bunn and Richard Dousack.
