CHALMAS 'SAM' SCROGGINS, 76, of Millington, retired driver for Millington Cab Co., died Friday at Cordova Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Forest Hill Funeral Home East with burial in Forest Hill Cemetery East. He was an Army veteran. Mr. Scroggins, the widower of Charlotte Scroggins [], leaves three daughters, Jan Wells [] and Melanie Saucier [], both of Memphis, and Cissy Russell [] of Cordova; a son, David Scroggins [] of Memphis; a sister, Rosa Moon [] of Columbia, S.C.; a brother, Newt Scroggins [] of California, and six grandchildren. The family requests that memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society.
