Glen F. Scroggins, 73, Independence, died March 13, 1993, at Research Medical Center. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the New Salem Chapel; burial in Salem Cemetery.
Friends may call from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the chapel. The family suggests contributions to the missionary fund at the Tri-City Ministries. Mr. Scroggins was born in Miller, Mo., and moved to this area in 1950. He was an assembly worker for the General Motors Fairfax assembly plant, retiring in 1980. He was a member of the United Auto Workers Union. He was a member of the church. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Lou Ellen Scroggins [21470:L] of the home; three sons, Artie Scroggins [21471:L, fb], Orrick, Mo., Steve Scroggins [21472:L], Inddependence, and Richard Woods [21473:L], Kansas City; seven daughters, Judy Bland [21474:L], Kansas City, Beverly Bollman [21476:L], Lee's Summit, Patricia West, [21478:L] Laurie Snyder [21479:L] and Debbie Henderson [21482:L] of Independence, Sharon Dunham [21484:L], Shawnee, and Jenny Sparks [21486:L], Miami; a brother, Billy Scroggins [21489:L], and a sister, Alice Bowers [21490:L], both of Springfield, Mo.; 26 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
