College Place - Margharite A. "Marge" Ryals, 54, of 1206 Dewey Drive died April 21, 1989, at St Mary Medical Center.

The memorial service will be 4 p.m. Tuesday at the First Church of God Prayer Garden, 928 Sturm Ave. Frank LaFont and Jeannette Flynn, pastors, will officiate. Cremation was held at Colonial-DeWitt Crematorium, 19 E. Birch St.

Memorial contributions may be made to women's programs at Walla Walla Community College.

Mrs. Ryals was born May 23, 1934, in Minneapolis to John C. [2812:L, FaG] and Margharite F. McLean [2813:L, FaG]. She completed high school in Lewistown, Mont., and graduated from Lewis and Clark College in Portland in 1960.

She moved to Walla Walla in 1963 from Portland. She worked for various law firms in town and for the last year had been a legal secretary for Minnick-Hayner.

Mrs. Ryals found enjoyment in gardening, dancing and sunshine. She loved music, being around people and the country swing. She was a member of the First Church of God and Muddy Frogs Square Dance Club.

Survivors include two daughters, Cheryl McLaughlin [37068:L, fb] of Danville, Calif., and Kathy Ryals [37075:L] of Walla Walla; and a son, G. Allen Ryals [37076:L] of Walla Walla.
