Patrick "Pat" Scroggins BATAVIA - Patrick "Pat" Scroggins , 74, passed away on Friday, March 3, 2017 at his home. He was born on March 17, 1942 in Springfield, IL the son of Hobart Lee and Elsie Lee (Alvey) Scroggins . He was united in marriage on May 27, 1972 in Yorkville, IL to Bonnie Urich. Pat grew up in Springfield, IL. and later moved and resided in Batavia IL. Pat served our country in the United States Air Force his service ending with Honorable Discharge in 1960. He worked for 24 years at Eaton Corp in Batavia and later was self-employed running his window cleaning business. Pat was a hard working individual that wanted to make sure his family was provided for. He was one of a kind that ensured his children knew how to be strong, work hard, and succeed in this world. He loved his bride (Bonnie) of 45 years, loved his children, and his grandchildren. His work ethic, his charm, his smile, his love, and, his strength will never be forgotten. Pat is survived by his wife of 45 years, Bonnie Scroggins of Batavia, IL; three sons, Pat Scroggins , Jr. of Springfield, IL, Kevin (Tracey) Scroggins of North Aurora, IL, and Jason (Amy) Scroggins of Batavia, IL; two daughters, Donna (Rich) Bender of Auburn, IL, and Sarah (Allan) Richard of North Aurora, IL; one brother, William Scroggins of Cicero, IL; one sister, Margaret (David) Dixon of Corinth, MS; seven grandchildren, Jessie , Kristin, Jacob, Jordan, Tyler, Amber Mae, and Alexander; and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Frances Malone. A visitation will be held from 4 PM to 7 PM on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Moss Family Funeral Home, 209 S. Batavia Avenue, Batavia, IL. Funeral services will be held at 12 PM on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at River Hills Memorial Park in Batavia, IL.
