Frankie Ray Scroggins [53072], 77, of Conway was born June 7, 1939, to Mark and Jewell Scroggins in Hollis, Okla., and passed away July 1, 2016, in Conway. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of Vietnam and Korea, retired from Trane HVAC, and was a member of New Life Church in Conway.
Funeral will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday at New Life Church in Fort Smith with burial to follow in August at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Rose; three children and their spouses, Tracy [53076, fb] and Mark [54835, fb] Verkamp of Charleston, Tammy and Ron Brown of Conway and Jamie [53077] and Kerrie [, fb] Scroggins of Bentonville; one daughter-in- law, Lisa Scroggins [53075, fb, fb] of Van Buren; three sisters, Joyce Dean of Lavaca, Margaret Frederick of Disney, Okla., and Sherry Panzack of Reedley, Calif.; 11 grandchildren, Jennifer [, fb], Bethany [, fb], Erica and Emily Verkamp, Christopher [, fb] and Cody Scroggins, Josh Denton, Kayla Garretson, Rickey Harris, Kristy Lee and Nick White; and seven great-grandchildren.
Frankie was preceded in death by his parents, Mark Scroggins and Jewell Kanawyer; stepfather, Harry Kanawyer; two brothers, Billie Scroggins and Donald Scroggins; and three sons, Dennis Scroggins [53074], Richard Harris and Stevie Harris.
