Claude Eugene “Gene” Scroggins [36069:C], 72, of Lumberton, died Monday, December 28, 2015. He was born on December 27, 1943, in Kiowa, Oklahoma, to Ellen Wingo Scroggins [36062:C] and Oscar Scroggins [21999:C].
Survivors include his wife, Patsy Scroggins [36070:C]; children, Charlotte Scroggins [41016:C] of Tomball; Carla Tucker [41015:C] and her husband, Michael [tba:C], of Sour Lake; and Carl Scroggins [tbc:C] and his wife, Suzy, [tbc:C] of Silsbee; grandchildren, Katie Tucker, Kevin Tucker, and Kaleb Tucker, all of Sour Lake, and Josie Scroggins of Silsbee; and brother, Bill Scroggins [36067:C] of Amarillo. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Louise Belcher [36072:C]; and brothers, Ray Scroggins [36071:C] and Ronnie Blakley.
A gathering of Mr. Scroggins’ family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 30, 2015, at Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 31, 2015, at Broussard’s, with his interment to follow at Pine Ridge Cemetery, Kountze.
