SHREVEPORT, LA - Services for Marie Antoinette Scroggins will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Zion Baptist Church, John H. Wilson Chapel, 3038 Hollywood Ave, Shreveport, LA. Interment will follow at Lincoln Cemetery. Open visitation will be Wednesday at Heavenly Gates.
Marie was born on February 15, 1972 and entered her eternal rest on Thursday, August 6, 2015. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, a devoted mother and grandmother. She was a licensed CNA and worked for several years as a care provider to many clients.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Gwendolyn Metcalf Scroggins and sister, Samantha Scroggins.
Her memory will forever be cherished by her daughters Alexandra and Gwendolyn Webb of Shreveport, Louisiana, father, John E. Scroggins, Sr. (Jackie) of Dallas, Texas, brother, John E. Scroggins, Jr. (Shavonda), nephew Jonathan James Scroggins all of Rosharon, Texas, granddaughter, Ayanna Marie Webb, grandson, Robert Julian Webb, grandparents, James and Ruby Scroggins, all of Shreveport, Louisiana; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
