SCHRAM CITY, IL - Frank Scroggins, 92, died at 9:57 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at Montgomery Nursing & Rehab Center in Taylor Springs, Ill. Bass, Patton, Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro, Ill., is handling arrangements.

Frank Scroggins, 92, of Schram City, IL passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at 9:57 p.m. at Montgomery Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Taylor Springs, IL. Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home, Hillsboro, IL is assisting the family with private family services. Private burial will be in Rose Lawn Memory Gardens, Bethalto, IL.

Mr. Scroggins was born on August 14, 1922, in Harrisburg, IL to the late Frank and Rachel (Jones) Scroggins. He married Vesta Ilene Newell on May 28, 1946, in East Alton, IL. She preceded him in death on January 17, 2000. Mr. Scroggins was a high school graduate and worked as a machinist for General Steel Industries and a coal mine. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. He lived in East Alton, IL prior to moving to Hillsboro, IL in 1973.

Survivors include two sons, Frank Scroggins [54003:K], of Wood River, IL and Mike [31703:K] (wife Marta [54005:K, fb]) Scroggins, of Hillsboro, IL; four grandchildren, Derek Scroggins [31711?]/54006:K], Heather Scroggins [54007:K, fb] Rachel Huber [54008:K, fb], and Jessica Scroggins [54009:K, fb] and ten great grandchildren, Gage Odle [54010:K, fb], Reese Odle [54011:K, fb], Aurora Olson [54012:K, fb], Tanner Olson [54013:K], Riley Callahan [54014:K], Draic Huber [54015:K], Chance Huber [54016:K], Willow Huber [54017:K], Tabitha Huber [54018:K] and Derek Scroggins, Jr.  [54019:K]

He was preceded in death by his wife, Vesta Scroggins; his parents, Frank & Rachel Scroggins and one sister, Lois Scroggins.
