Betty L. Johnson, 81, passed away Saturday, Feb 8 at her home in American Canyon following a brief illness.
Betty was born to Robert [40751:C] and Velma [40749:C] Scroggins on April 22, 1933 in New Mexico and was a resident of American Canyon the past 20 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Jeffery Christy; and her brother, Robert Scroggins [53961:C].
Survivors include her husband of 13 years, Charles M. Johnson; daughter, Johanna Lynn Hendrix; step-daughter, Darcy (Blair) Downie; sister, Billie Hyde; grandchildren, Christopher (Joanna), Steven (Shari), Adam, Kristina (Randy) and Danielle; and great-grandchildren, Emily, Samantha, Caleb, Charlotte and Elise.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 22 at the Holiday Inn, 5001 Main St., American Canyon with Rev. Christopher Hendrix officiating. Inurnment will be private at the Sacramento Valley VA National Cemetery, Dixon.
