Viola Carey Scroggins, age 85, of Morrilton, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, January 3, 2013. She was born February 24, 1927, in Morrilton, Arkansas, a daughter of Freeda H. Carey and Margie Treadway Carey. She was retired from Crompton Arkansas Mills and a member of Harding Street Church of Christ.
Survivors include her daughter, Shirlene Young [41858:N] and husband Roger of Morrilton; one grandson, Ronnie Young and wife Tracy of Oppelo; two granddaughters Sheila Hallsell of Plumerville, and Michelle Presley and husband Tom of Hattieville; six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Reedy Scroggins and one daughter, Geraldine Wilson Cook and one great-granddaughter, Jessica Young.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 7, 2013, at the Harris Chapel with Mr. Charles Bane officiating. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.
