Betty Scroggins, 86, of Fort Worth and formerly of Ada, Okla., died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, at her daughter's home. Funeral: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Normandale Baptist Church, 2001 Chapel Creek Blvd., Fort Worth, with Pastor John Mark Yeats will officiating. Visitation: 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Memorials: Trinity Baptist Church, 530 E. Main, Ada, Okla. 74820; or the , 1100 Pennsylvania Ave., Kansas City, Mo. 64105. Survivors: Daughters, Janet Murray [tba] and husband, Paul, of Fort Worth and Karen Farrell [tba] and husband, Buz, of Pauls Valley, Okla.; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-granddaughters; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Services for Betty Jewell Scroggins, 86, Ft. Worth, Texas, formerly of Ada, are 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Baptist Church, Dr. Rusty Fuller and Rev. David Gray will officiate. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Francis. The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday at Criswell Funeral Home. Mrs. Scroggins died Sunday, November 11, 2012 at her daughter's home. She was born October 29, 1926 at Mill Creek, Oklahoma to John Ewen and Cornelia Freeman Gale. She graduated from Ada High School. She lived in the Ada area most of her life. She married Junior Lee "Doc" Scroggins on October 9, 1948 in Ada, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on June 3, 2004. Mrs. Scroggins was a bookkeeper and secretary for C. P. Taylor, M. D. and she was a homemaker. Mrs. Scroggins was a longtime member of Trinity Baptist Church in Ada where she was active with the Victory Sunday School Class. Survivors include her daughters, Janet Murray and husband Paul of Ft. Worth, TX, and Karen Farrell and husband Buz of Pauls Valley,OK, four grandchildren, Angi Rogers and husband Kelvin, and Melissa Taylor and husband Michael, all of Ft. Worth, TX, Kimberly Shippey and fiance' Patrick Lyons, of Lindsay, OK, and Zechariah Shippey and wife Erica, of Pauls Valley, OK, and a sister Mary Horton and husband, Ed, of Wiley, TX.; Nine great grandchildren, Jordan St.Pierre, Jaclyn, Justin, and Janelle Rogers, Evan and Zanni Knight, all of Fort Worth, TX; Tyler Hopper, Jayce McCoy of Lindsay, OK, and Ryder Shippey of Pauls Valley, OK; and two great great granddaughters, Kaslynn and Suttyn St. Pierre of Fort Worth, TX. and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and two brothers, J. E. Gale and Jimmy T. Gale. Bearers will be sons-in law, grandsons, and great grandsons. The family says those who wish may make memorials to Trinity Baptist Church, 530 E. Main, Ada, OK 74820; or the American Cancer Society, Heartland Division, 1100 Pennsylvania Ave., Kansas City, MO 64105.
