Edith Mae (Sherman) Scroggins, 65, of Golden, passed away on Monday, Sept. 21, 2009, at Washington Regional Hospital in Fayetteville, Ark. She was born on Jan. 14, 1944, in Eureka Springs, Ark., daughter of William "Bill" Sherman and Mary Alice Beck. She grew up and graduated from high school in Eureka Springs, Ark., in 1961. She was united in marriage to Donnie Scroggins [46802] on Dec. 9, 1961, in Eureka Springs, Ark. She devoted her whole life to her husband, family and farm. She worked for 15 years at Shumaker Tire in Golden. She retired in 2005 from Fasco in Cassville to help in the care of her son. She was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Golden.
Survivors include: her husband, Donnie Scroggins [46802], of Golden; one son, Daniel Scroggins [46807], and his wife, Rebecca [46808], of Berryville, Ark.; her daughter-in-law, Oleta "Tootsie" Scroggins [46804], of Golden, her mother-in-law, Lucile Scroggins, of Beaver, Ark.; three brothers, Robert Sherman, and his wife, Wilsie, of Eureka Springs, Ark, Kenneth Sherman, and his wife, Darlene, of Mano, and Billy Sherman, and his wife, Rita, De Soto, Kan.; one sister, Pauline Harris, and her husband, Tom, of Belton; and five grandchildren,
In addition to her parents and step-mother, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Gary Sherman; and one son, Donald "Donnie" Scroggins [46800:8].

Funeral services will be held on Friday at the First Southern Baptist Church in Golden, with Rev. Woodrow E. Fletcher and Freddy Blevins officiating. Burial will follow at Roach Cemetery in Eagle Rock. The family will receive friends on Thursday, Sept. 24 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the White Funeral Home in Cassville. Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Association and may be entrusted to the White Funeral Home in Cassville.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow, Sept. 24, at the funeral home.

GOLDEN, Mo. — Edith Mae Sherman Scroggins, 65, of Golden died Sept. 21, 2009, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. She was born Jan. 14, 1944, in Eureka Springs to William Sherman and Mary Alice Beck.

Survivors include her husband, Donnie Scroggins; a son, Daniel Scroggins of Berryville; three brothers, including Robert Sherman of Eureka Springs; a sister; five grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at First Southern Baptist Church in Golden.

Burial will follow at Roach Cemetery in Eagle Rock, Mo.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at White Funeral Home in Cassville, Mo.
