CANTON - Services for Archie Lee Scroggins, 88, Canton, are scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday at Eubank Funeral Home chapel, Canton, with the Revs. Jerry Truett, Lindsey Ray and Elmer Rush officiating.

Burial will be in Starr Cemetery, Canton.

Mr. Scroggins died Sept. 25, 2008, at his residence in Canton.

He was born June 26, 1920, in Eureka to the late Eugene [41575] and Alice Maria Key Scroggins [47284]. He was a member of Lawrence Springs Baptist Church, The Christian Motorcycle Association and Holiday Rambler R.V. Club. Mr. Scroggins was an ordained minister. He retired from Greyhound Bus Line as a bus operator and helped start Greyhound Van Lines. Later in life he started his own earth-moving business.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Ruby Lois Scroggins [10736], Canton; daughters, Glenda Spears, Canton and Gayle Caughron, Grand Saline; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
