MARY SCROGGINS
FRANCIS -- Graveside services for Mary Nell Brooks Scroggins, 75, Francis, are 10 a.m. Saturday at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Arthur Truman Scroggins officiating. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Friday evening at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Scroggins died Tuesday, June 17, 2008, at her home. She was born March 18, 1933, at Lula to John Greer Brooks and Margie Eldora Smith Brooks.

She grew up in Lula and graduated from Lula High School in 1950. She attended school at East Central University, Louisiana State University, a college in Anchorage, Alaska, and later graduated from Byng Practical Nursing School in 1975. She was employed by Dr. Hook, Dr. Ramadan, Dr. Stafford, Valley View Hospital and Woodland Hills Nursing Home. She was also a private care giver. She was a long-time member of Francis Church of Christ, attending there 37 years.

She married Arthur Truman Scroggins Sept. 1, 1951, in Ada.

Survivors include her husband, Arthur Truman Scroggins, of the home; two daughters, Andrea Kreis, Francis, and Leslie Molina and her husband Joe, Henderson, Nev.; five grandchildren, Leslie Strange, Francis; Corbin Kreis, Kansas City, Mo.; Emily Molina, Henderson, Nev.; Benjamin Molina, Henderson, Nev.; and Ryan Molina, Henderson, Nev.; five great-grandchildren, Tristan and Kaleb Strange, and Mason and Kase Alaee, all of Francis; and Paige Kreis, Kansas City, Mo.; two sisters, Ethylene McNeal, Dublin, Texas; and Joyce Walters, Ada; four brothers, Jim Brooks, Wilson; Thomas Brooks, California; Larry Brooks, California; and Charles Brooks, Wilson; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruby Davis and Linda Kay Brooks; and two brothers, Roy Brooks and Billy John Brooks.
