SULLIVAN - Raymond Scroggins Jr., 46, Lafayette, and formerly of Sullivan, died at 11:18 p.m. EDT Thursday, May 3, 2007, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Lafayette.
He was born May 7, 1960, in Vincennes, to Raymond and Marjorie (Lucas) Scroggins.
He served on the Sullivan City Police Department, and retired after 20 years as an assistant chief of police. He was a nurse at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center.
He is survived by his wife, Tina (Lunger) Scroggins of West Lafayette; three daughters, Kristen Scroggins of Sullivan, MacKenzie Scroggins and Montana Scroggins, both of West Lafayette; one son, Jaylen Scroggins of West Lafayette; and four sisters, Linda Quinett of Vincennes, Judy McMillan of Vincennes, Patsy Hancock of Indianapolis, and Karen Simpson of Sullivan.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. EDT Thursday at Banks and Brust Funeral Home, 400 N. Court St.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. EDT Thursday at the funeral home. Cremation has been scheduled.
