Ruby Jewel Scroggins
Funeral for Ruby Jewel Scroggins, 52, will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, July 23, at Fredonia Hill Baptist church with the Rev. S. Keith Warner officiating. Burial will be at Rusk Cemetery.
Scroggins died Saturday, July 17, 2004, in Nacogdoches.
Born June 6, 1952, in Douglass, she was the daughter of Eugene Berry Sr. [41699:&] and Mildred Marie Davis Berry [41700:&]. She was a retired Central Heights High School custodian and a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church
Survivors include her mother; husband Howard Scroggins [41701:&] of Nacogdoches; sons Darrion Berry of Tyler, Willie Deckard of Rusk, Harold Scroggins [41702:&] and Derrick Scroggins [49329:&, fb*] of Nacogdoches and Howard Richardson of Alto; daughters Barbara Kay Reagan of Nacogdoches and Yovonne Richardson of Lufkin; brothers Eugene Berry Jr., Raymond Berry, Louis Berry, Larry Berry and Floyd Berry, all of Nacogdoches; sisters Brenda Whitaker, Barbara Adams and Beatrice Ward, all of Nacogdoches and Mary Beaner of Shreveport, La.; and 12 grandchildren.
Viewing will be from noon to 7 p.m. Thursday with a wake from 7 to 8 p.m.
