In another accident on an Oregon road over the Labor Day weekend two men died Saturday in a single-car wreck near Oregon City.
The driver was not immediately identified. The passenger was identified as Vance H. Scroggins, 29, who recently moved to San Jose, Calif., from the south Clackamas County area, deputies said.
The car failed to negotiate a curve and struck several large trees. Deputies said the accident was alcohol-related and the occupants were not wearing seat belts.
