Dorothy I. Scroggins, 87, of Princeton, formerly of Ramsey, died Friday, March 15, 2002, at the Elim Home in Princeton. She was born in Groten, S.D. on June 2, 1914, to David and Maria (Wockenfuss) Scroggins. Miss Scroggins was a retired parochial school teacher who taught at St. John’s Lutheran School in Burns Township.[SSDI: Dorothy I. Scroggins]
Her funeral service was March 20 at St. John Lutheran Church, officiated by the Rev. Bill Pieper. Bevan and Melcolm Beck, Brian and Keith Burandt, David Reiman and Kevin Leistico served as pallbearers. Interment was in St. John’s Cemetery, Burns. Miss Scroggins is survived by her sister, Frances Beck; many nieces and nephews; and special friend and caregiver, Glenda Olson. She was preceded in death by a brother, Walter.

|CORDIE L. SCROGGINS, 66, of West Memphis, baker for Big Star, died Tuesday at her home. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis with burial in Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion. She was a member of Faith Assembly of God in West Memphis. Mrs. Scroggins, the wife of James H. Scroggins, also leaves three daughters, Norma Russell of Middleton, Tenn., Brenda Lancaster of Crawfordsville, Ark., and Lisa McAlister of Marion; two sons, James R. Scroggins of Arlington, Texas and Alan Scroggins of West Memphis; a sister, Faye Watts of Manila, Ark., 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
