Mary Ruth Scroggin [51685:D], 61 of Hanover, Indiana, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2013 at University Of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born on December 2, 1951 in Ft. Campbell, Kentucky and was the daughter of the late Jack and Ethel R. (Smith) Lewis. Mary was married on April 20, 1968 to Donald E. Scroggin [51684]. She was a former assistant manager of the old Druthers Restaurant in Hanover and continued as assistant manager when the restaurant was purchased by Dairy Queen. She also worked as a manager for the Goodwill Store in Madison, Indiana, was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Hanover, Indiana and formerly attended Hanover Christian Church. Survivors include her husband, Donald E. Scroggin; a son, Donald E. Scroggin, Jr. [51686] and his wife Natalie of Hanover, Indiana; a daughter, Melissa Ann Leon-Vega [51687] and her husband Juan of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina; a sister, Sarah Tabella of Pennsylvania; 17 grandchildren, Aaron, Brittany, Krista, Kyle, Kolin, Zoe, Nicholas, Brianna, Shawn, Troy, Savanah, Taylor, Sarah, Kiki, Alicia, Dakota and Faith and one great grandson. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth K. Reid [51688] on July 21, 2012 and a half sister, Josephine Wilson. Interment will be in Mount Hebron Cemetery near Little York, Indiana.
