Longtime Holdenville resident, Cleo Scroggins passed away on August 27, 2011 at the age of 85 in Holdenville. Cleo was born on May 19, 1926 to James Riley and Myrtle Webb in DeKalb, Arkansas.

Cleo was married to Ray Scroggins for nearly 60 years. She worked at Charles Komar and Sons/Seam Pruf in Holdenville for many years as a seamstress and was a loving homemaker. Cleo was a member of the Holdenville Pentecostal Holiness Church. She loved sewing, gardening, cooking, and camping. Cleo enjoyed listening to gospel music and spoiling her grandchildren.

Cleo is preceded in death by her parents, husband Ray, seven brothers and sisters.

Surviving are her daughters: Lonetta Townley of Holdenville, Geraldine Jay and husband Billy of Holdenville, Ginger Gale Kester and husband Rick of Noble. Grandchildren Tina Phillips, Leonard Dooley Jr., Misty Dawn Gustin, Peggy Brown, Rita Townley, Renee Wright, Kelly Woods, Bryan Foster. Numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren as well as a host of other family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Bryan Foster, Joshua Dooley, Leonard Dooley III, Craig Townley, Cody Townley and Dustin Phillips.

Honorary pallbearers will be Aaron Sisco, Leonard Dooley Jr., and Derryck Phillips.Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at 10am at the Hudson Phillips Chapel in Holdenville with Pastor Troy Wright officiating.
