DALE A. WIGREN Valparaiso, Indiana Dale A. Wigren, age 72, passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2008. He was born October 27, 1936 in Iron River, Wisconsin, the son of Arvid and Gertrude (Carlson) Wigren. He graduated from South Shore High School in Port Wing, WI. Dale retired in 1999 after 39 years at Urschel Laboratories, where he was a maintenance technician. He was a member of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church in Valparaiso. On May 13, 1961 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Chesterton, he married Marilyn Olson who survives in Valparaiso. Also surviving is a daughter, Lynn Ross of Valparaiso, a son Cory (Julie) Wigren of Westville; 5 grandchildren, Teresa, Bobby, Ben, Jessica and James and a sister Arlene Carter of Two Harbors, MN. His parents, a daughter Anne Scroggin [45118] and a granddaughter Mary Ross preceded him in death. For over 20 years, he worked with his wife and others providing care, supplies and gifts to those in need in Kentucky and Louisiana. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 8, 2008 at 10:00 AM at Bartholomew Funeral Home in Valparaiso. Fr. Kevin McCarthy officiating. Burial will be in Chesterton Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, from 3-8 PM at the funeral home. Memorial Donations may be made to the V.N.A. Hospice Center, 501 Marquette St. Valparaiso, IN 46383.
