Submitted by Rita Floyd. --------------------------------------------------------                       OBITUARIES              February 01 - February 28, 2007 --------------------------------------------------------    Sunday,  February 11, 2007  MELBA DIXON FRANCIS - Services for Melba Sue Dixon, 65, Francis, are 11 a.m. Monday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, the Revs. Joyce Parker and Michael Parker will officiate. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Francis.  Mrs. Dixon died Friday, Feb. 9, 2007, at a local hospital. She was born Feb. 1, 1942, in Ada to Melburn and Hazel Scroggins Copeland. She attended school at Cedar Grove and graduated from Moore High School in 1961.  She married Chester Dixon June 12, 1965, at Moore. She was a homemaker and currently employed with Wal-Mart. She was affiliated with the Church of God.  Survivors include her husband, Chester Dixon, of the home; two daughters, LaDonna Dempsey and husband Ronald, Ada, and Debra Dixon, of the home;  a grandson, Brent Dempsey; granddaughter, Melissa Dempsey; a sister, LaWanda White and husband Willie, Francis; a brother, Lonnie Thomas West and wife Carolyn, Oklahoma City; and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Orvel and Hazel West; and her biological father, Melburn Copeland.  Bearers will be Chester Dixon, Brent Dempsey, Ronald Dempsey, Debra Dixon, Willie White and Chris White.  Honorary bearers are Lonnie West and Danny Murray.      Criswell Funeral Home, Ada
